The theme this year, as last, has been the BBC project Ten Pieces. Broadly, this required the schools taking part to choose one or more of the ten pieces on the BBC Primary project list (2015) or the ten new pieces on the secondary list and make a short film that is inspired in some way by it. More about that here.
16 took part and here are their amazing films:

When we found out we were doing the film project we were all very excited. We thought it would be a good idea to base our film on our topic The Vikings.
Freya and Joe, our pupil ambassadors, went to the film workshop to learn how to use green screening and animation. They also learned how to use GarageBand and iMovie to film and edit movies.
We listened to the BBC Secondary Ten Pieces of music and decided that we loved the mix of classical and contemporary in Concerto for Turntables. This inspired us to mix up the modern day world with a bit of history in our film.
We’ve used animation and green screening in our film ‘The Daydream.’ We would like to thank everyone who has helped us along the way. We hope you enjoy it!

Our film is called Catch of the Day and was inspired by our Oceans theme and Benjamin Britten’s Storm which is the piece of music featured in our film. We used green screen, animation and acting in our film. At the filming workshops we learnt how to use iMovie and used it to make our film. As well as this, we used a green screening app to do the green screening. Our film is split into 12 different parts – all with different techniques. Everyone enjoyed making the film and we are really proud of it. We hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it.
